Granola
6 cups rolled oats
2 cups Rice Crispies
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup maple syrup
½ cup vegetable oil
1½ teaspoon salt
3 cups mix of dry roasted nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips, wheat bran, or whatever you like –the goodies
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Mix together oats and sugar. Combine all the liquid stuff then pour over the oats; stir to coat everything. Spread in an even layer on a baking sheet.
Bake at 250 for 1 hour fifteen min. Stir every 30 min.
In a separate, very large, bowl combine the goodies. When the granola is done and still warm, stir to combine. Let the granola mix rest until cool and then either press into bars, serve over yogurt, or snack until you run out.
