Now remember this is movies, not superheros themselves. There are certain things you will never see in a Batman movie no matter how cool it would be.
Also remember this is a list of comic book superheros so Matrix, 300, Army of Darkness, Malena, etc. don’t count.
5. The Avengers
More than anything else Whedon understood the ‘who would win’ game I like to play with my buddies. And the Hulk/Loki fight was handled perfectly.
4. Man of Steel
The episodic nature, Lois figuring out Clark’s identity in five seconds flat, and Kevin Costner all make this is best Superman movie so far. Sorry Brandon.
3. Thor
Its Shakesperian. And Superheros learning humility is cool.
2. The Guardians of the Galaxy
It’s like they made this movie just for me and my pal Dave. I’m actually standing up now. We’re all standing, like a bunch of jackasses. You happy?
1. V for Vendetta
Shocker, I know. And, true confession, I couldn’t even make it through comic. Still there are three reasons V comes out on top Superhero Movie So Far. V is the only hero on the list to die and stay dead. The Evey torture/rebirth sequence makes me cry (and it was mentioned on Buffy). Hugo Weaving’s performance is awesome, especially considering you can’t see if face –and he gets to be a good guy which is cool.
